Working Together: FAQs

Alright, so you’re thinking you might need a designer in your life and you’re wondering if we might be a good fit. Here are some common questions that can help you see what I offer and what service might be a good fit for your project.

Do you have project minimums?

Yes. The minimum required size for me to take on a full-service client is one complete room. That means that we are starting with an empty space and setting the complete look from start to finish.

This starts with an in-home consultation, requiring a booking fee that will be credited towards your design fee. You will then complete a post-visit survey where you share your not-to-exceed budget and provide details about your likes, dislikes and goals for a successful partnership. I then generate a custom proposal with a small sampling of potential products. We have a chance to review and refine the proposal before signing contracts. With paperwork signed and payment received, I will get to work!

How do we decide the project budget?

In the post-visit survey, I will ask your not-to-exceed number. That is the gut feeling amount you feel comfortable spending on your project. That will tell me which items are priorities and which are not. I will calibrate my selections to fit your budget and let you know which elements will drive the cost up and where we have opportunities to save. Through an open conversation, we will arrive together at the budget.

What if I have a partial room, or want some help, but not full-service type help?

The Design Studio is for you! This service is perfect for the DIYer who wants a check-in, for those rooms where you want a refresh or that space that’s almost there but needs a boost. You can book an appointment with a stylist and bring your measurements, photos and inspo pics along. You’ll pay an hourly rate and get expert guidance in styling and space planning. You can also create custom orders for furniture, pillows or drapes. It’s that little bit of help we all need when we are almost there.

I’m actually a confident shopper and feel like I’ve got a handle on my style- where can I shop?

My showroom! It will be open in early 2025. I am aiming to create an experiential space that is set up to feel like the home of your dreams. I am focusing on larger pieces that are tough to order and expensive to ship via traditional online shops. I will have sofas, sectionals, chairs, tables and light fixtures. I will also rotate in flash stock, or small batches of accessories, decor and seasonal goodies. An opening date will be posted as soon as it is set- stay tuned!

Is it like regular shopping at the showroom?

It will be- but better! You can shop the floor and take home what you see that day. You can also order pieces from any of my trusted vendors to have shipped to the store or your home. We will offer local delivery as well.
